Suffererof1crankymofo
FFS, it's standard business practice when purchasing leases/businesses that the owner/vendor/person selling said store won't operate/own a business in competition within X No. of miles, let alone feet! Besides, if the SIC, the NHS, the Gov. and other bleeding goody two shoes had their way, no one would be able to buy any alcohol! The owner of Mainlands decided for whatever reason to sell their store. No Shetland purchasers came forward, the Co-operative did. The Co-operative are just that, a co-operative. Anyone can become a member of the Co-operative Society and get dividends. What would you rather have, a co-op owned store or NONE?
