Slightly dismayed to see someone has bought 3 tickets and selling in classifieds for "highest offer"! puts some negativity on the event and real shame for people who have tried all morning to get tickets to attend, especially since its mostly young folk wanting to go.

Matt C tickets all sold out now I'm afraid. Thanks to everyone who bought in such numbers - amazing!!!!

Just to clarify everything BEFORE the usual rumours and accusations start:

On-line tickets did indeed go on sale at 9am this morning - no they most certainly did not go on sale any earlier!!!!

Yes they sold out IMMEDIATELY on-line - even though I 'moved' another 350 onto the ticket websites from our originally planned High Level sales numbers pre 9 o clock when I saw the actual queue at High Level was much much smaller than expected. Rest assured we tried to be equally fair to our on-line customers in this resepect when we saw there was going to be less demand for direct sales through High Level at 9am than expected

Of course they can sell out on these national ticket websites in less than 1 minute - even if you were indeed trying right on 9am - given if (for instance) 1000+ people log on immediately at 9am, the system will only process the first customers up to 650 tickets (given sales were limited to 4 per person) A total of 650 tickets were ultimately available online this morning and 600 sold through High Level Music

EVERYONE who was in the queue at 9am got tickets and we only sold out there at 9.45

Sorry to those who failed to get tickets on-line but that's how the system works I'm afraid. On-line demand was MASSIVE I can assure you!!!! Ticketmaster, Seetickets etc can obviously deal simoultaneously with massive amounts of demand, but just because you successfully log on at 9am does NOT necessarily mean or guarantee that you will get tickets unfortunately.

So to clarifty, the sites did not:

(A) Fail

(B) Sell tickets before 9am

© Have less tickets than we originally advertised on line (indeed we added 350 more pre 9am)

(D) Hold any tickets back.

I've heard all the above 'observations' already this morning and none are accurate I can assure you

Demand was incredible for this one so a million thanks for all the interest and here's to a great show for those of you who did manage to get tickets.

Togo - I totally agree and am equally disgusted at such folk!!

Not a lot we can do about it I'm afraid - officially that is - but if there is some way I can 'pay them back' for this kind of approach in future (if we find out who they are of course) then rest assured such action will be taken against them for another occasion.

For now I simply hope Shetlink will honour what they have done for us in the past and remove such 'adverts' from this site. Cheers if you will do this for us lads!!!

Great news that people queing at High Level all got tickets, people who make the effort to do this should be rewarded. I know its not practical for some people to go and que but I'm of the firm belief that each avenue of purchasing tickets should have a maximum percentage of total tickets sales available so everyone gets a chance.

Glad to see Shetlink have responded to DG hope to remove adverts selling tickets for profit. Well done.

Also well done for bringing yet another fantastic event to shetland - there are so many people that can't afford to go to theses concerts down south.

Well said and well played Davie, particularly shifting more tickets to the online service due to less demand at HL.......finger on the pulse, i'd say
