Peerie Tr00ker
Hi I'm trying to get a list together of all the activities for toddlers in Shetland. I'd like to get my daughter into something but don't know what. Is there any ballet, or other activities that would suit a 3 1/2 year old? khitajrah
There are ballet classes for younger ones in Lerwick, Sandwick and Aith (as far as I am aware). Check the Shetlink Events Calendar for more information and contact details. There's also Mootie Mouse at the Museum & Archives, it's not sporty but that's all I can think of right now, I'm afraid, other than local parent & toddler groups. Isn't there some sort of Gym Kids thing that goes on in Lerwick? I saw a pass certificate on a friend's kitchen wall the other day about it. Perhaps someone else has more information? meeniej
Clickimin run a lot of activities for peerie ones. Football, trampolining, gym kids, swimming. Ask for a leaflet. Most are prebooked courses so I'd imagine the next lot will be starting after October holidays. Aith leisure centre does a preschool morning on Thursday, swimming and soft play, look on their website.
khitajrah
The Clickimin is hosting a Children and Families Day this Saturday. If your children participate in a set number of activities the whole family will get a free swim at any SRT pool. Looks like it could be fun.
