ashleaanntulloch
Oxjam is Oxfam's annual UK-wide music festival, and for the first time, Shetland's involved. It'll be Oxjam's most Northernly gig, something that I hope can be continued each year... Obviously, as Oxjam is organised by a charity, the aim of the night is to raise as much money as possible. Oxfam do some pretty great work, and you can find out more here:http://www.oxfam.org.uk/oxfam_in_action/ I'd ideally like to raise £1700. That pays for a brand new school in an underdeveloped country. Anyway. Onto the good stuff. Firstly, it's at the Legion. Doors open at 19.30, for a 19.45 start. LINE-UP: TEN TONNE DOZERDJ LYALL HALCROWCASINO FEETAUTOMATIC CHICKENCOMET CONSPIRACYMETACARPAL LOVE Price: £5 at the door. There's gonna be a raffle, bit of facepainting, and also some donation boxes. So set aside a few pennies for the night. Right. Tell your friends, your family... Let's get as many people over to the Legion as possible. It's a great cause, and with the mixed line-up, it's bound to be an awesome night. Under 18s CAN attend this gig. CrunchieSquirrel
I think that Oxjam was a great success and many people had thumbs up with the music and entertainment. In my opinion, I think the music was a little bit of an ear-ringer as when left the legion I lost my hearing so badly I almost ended up shouting instead of talking. Thanks for everyone attending and I hope you enjoyed yourselves that night.
