Ally
Would a "like" button (or, dare I say it, a "Dislike") not be quite a nice feature to add if possible? The number of times I've read a post and totally agreed or been impressed by the argument, but been too lazy to actually reply... any chance of it? khitajrah
What about, if one feels the urge to 'Like' a comment, use the emoticon instead, or just type out a compliment, a "well said mate", or something along those lines. I think it would do Shetlink a world of good if folk started saying more positive things - a little compliment here and there wouldn't do any harm. It could possibly help drown out the overabundance of negative comments anyway, imho.
GypsyScy
Another forum I'm on has a 'Thanks' button on the end of a post, used much the same way as a like button!
Rivlins
I was on a forum once which had an "Ignore" button so you could blank out annoying posters altogether, and not run even the slightest risk of your eyeballs being assaulted by their nonsense. The same forum also tried a scheme where anyone who was "Ignored" by a certain number of people and got automatically shown the door, on the basis that these were obviously the folks that people found annoying. Wouldn't be detailing world would it?. Works quite well there. I was on a forum once which had an "Ignore" button so you could blank out annoying posters altogether, and not run even the slightest risk of your eyeballs being assaulted by their nonsense. An ignore button would be nice and may prevent some of the bigger thread flare ups.
