a fine posy DavieG, but along wi da hale idea o clarifying things, could i clarify dat at nae point did i state dat u, da campaign team or sakchai himself made excuses for his past mistakes. my issue wis wi da press dat had tried making excuses fir his behaviour when der wis nae need to.

 

Indeed, I often pointed oot dat his behaviour should be commended in how he didna mak ony excuses, but simply pointed oot dat he had done his time etc.

 

da problem on dis thread has often not been whit folk have posted, but how folk have taken it (often wioot actually reading all dat is there, or merely looking at points o da post as opposed tae da hale thing).

 

the Shetland for Sakchai team use any of the detailed 'excuses' for Sakchai's behaviour that were highlighted in the thread.

 

by only taking dis wan segment oot o dy post, it suddenly takes on a completely different meaning, as it is noo completely oot o context, and wid appear dat excuses have bin made, when dey havna bin. dis has bin happening an affy lot on here, and dis has bin da problem.

 

often, entire posts are not inflammatory/offensive, but take oot wan piece oot o context and suddenly it appears dat way.

 

understandably, tempers and emotions have bin high. but dis coold also hae clouded sum folks judgment of folks post and their actual intentions. no mony folk have covered demsel's in glory on dis thread, including those taking da moral high ground against ithers. baith 'sides' o da 'debate' havna exactly bin covering demsel's in much glory wi how dis thread has gone

I really think the only people that would give two turds about this thread being deleted/locked/whatever are those intent on trolling it to provoke responses out of people. And lets face it, who really cares what these people think?
