sparly
Hi Just a few more lines about the Brae High School fundraiser -Posters are circulating with details. Main thing-Place is Brae HallStart time is 7.00pm Date is Wed 28th June Not quite fully finalised thing-There will be a sit down bit for about one hour with some sketches, songs from past and present pupils including Shetland's Young Musician of the Year Rebecca Cheriyan. Lynn Nicholson and Brian will also be on hand for a tune or two and Delting's answer to Mr. Bean or/and Peter Kay depending on your point of view Mr. Ewen Balfour will have something up his sleeve for later too. A piece of very imaginative and direct poetry based on 'current affairs' has been penned - a mixture of humour and some reflection on the current state of governance in this country.Teaching staff are also lining up to make a fool of themselves in the 'Dentist's Waiting Room' sketch and after a supper of soup and sannies three of the schools finest past and present rock merchants-AmnesiaBoys Allowed (or is it Aloud?)Hidden Agenda will get the blood pumping At some stage a raffle will be held and donations will be take taken at the door The Brae Hall have donated the premises free of charge See aabody there

hellsbells
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------The 50p Race To Sakchai will begin on the Athletics Track at 2pm on Saturday 1st July. The aim is to get together enough 50p pieces to lay end to end as fast as possible down the 100m straight to where Sakchai will be waiting. To give us a head start, collections will be gathered this weekend in Whalsay, Sandwick and Lerwick. All the money collected will be changed into 50p pieces and used to start the race. We are inviting everyone, young and old, to come to the Athletics Track between 2pm and 4pm on the day of the race and lay down a 50p (or 2!) to help us reach Sakchai. All the money raised will go directly into the fund , so start gathering those 50 pences and we'll see you on the 1st!
