AngusMecoatup
Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that when driving around the Graven area every time a truck passes its like being ambushed by a thousand peashooters? My windscreen has been chipped three times this year on the same stretch of road and my car bonnet has seen better days. esseff
Not Graven but the same happened to me at Tingwall on the way to get my car MoT'd a couple of months ago! The chip was just outside the failure area, luckily enough. The culprit was a truck doing Mach One just after the road re-surfacing and speed limit signs were there to that effect. colinm
I have stopped going that way because of the mess and debris on the road.
carlossimon
I lived in Shetland for 4 years, in which time I had about 4 windscreen chips! Prior to living in Shetland I had been driving for 25 years with 0 windscreen chips! I don't think mixing grit with salt in the winter helps with the windscreen chip problem! Still miss the place though!
