To be honest, I've eaten at the CO-OP cafe and found it, well...Ok, but the Harbour Cafe is more central and very reasonable, very clean, and you get a good meal and a great cup of tea, what more could you want.

I took my folks to both when they were here for a visit and the Harbour Cafe won hands down.

Is the Harbour Cafe the one you come out stinking of chip fat after?

Think it's been a while since you've been in, new owner, much cleaner. Even serve half decent REAL coffee (a bit weak by my standards, but straight off the boat it's the elixir of life)

Harbour cafe is OK if you are skinny, the tables and benches are so close that a friend who ain't exactly fat had to breathe in to get seated.

Not knocking their food (would be hard to beat) but comfort isn't their forte.

I beg to differ. I am "exactly fat" or certainly bigger than you and I manage to sit at a Harbour Cafe table without problems.
