enkelt skapninger Posted March 29, 2011 Report Share Posted March 29, 2011 Thanks all.Just spoken to them - 8,000 homes affected apparently, which is I guess is almost all of Shetland north of Lerwick. The lady on the phone said it was a huge fault, possibly power station problem. She said they were going to try and reroute power, and sounded a little surprised when I said we didn't have a connection to the national grid just yet... (but I guess she means getting something from the Sullom generators?) Thank god for a UPS on the cordless phone and internet modem. BTW, Another number from Scottish Hydro is 08000 727282. Short explanation, there were used to be two threads, I posted twice on one, and once on the other. They've since been Mod merged, so that it now looks like I posted three in a row on one thread.
