Whats the best nicknames you've heard?

There was a bloke that the folk at work called the ghosty, me being young and wet behind the ears eventually asked why so to get the answer , Well he's often spoken about but never seen, turns out the guy was always off sick only coming back to qualify for his sick pay and then go off sick for another 6 months,

here's some that I heard on off the ball, The Destroyer so called cos he was always looking for a sub on monday morning, Neon cos he was a 6foot tube, and my favourite a engineer who worked with us in Aberdeen called the Little chef because he was short and made a meal of everything

any of your own that can top that?

When I moved to Shetland in the mid seventies I was called "Overspill". I had moved from East Kilbride which my classmates in Geography had learned was a town built to cope with overspill from Glasgow...

Clever..(certainly beats what I was called at the EK school!)

Bentneck - A guy who used to walk with his head over to the right

Wobbly Bob - A guy with some hip disorder (the name of which escapes me) who as he walked his hips would describe a circular motion

Evertoon - A very black colleague who supported Everton (pre-PC days)

another one that springs to mind was an American guy who worked offshore called walking eagle (so called because he was so full of S**T he couldnt fly)

and a light fingered co-worker called the hurricane (so called because he used to blow into the place and lift anything useful in his path)

Lerrick whitings, Whalsay piltocks, Bressay sharks(?)

I'm sure I saw a list of them in a book recently, cant remember which book, but i'll see if I can dig it out.
