shetlandpeat
I bet he will be busy. Not a bad move. Even doing it on a Sunday. Considering there was some doubt not so long ago as to the shop closing. It perhaps it would be prudent to support the shop, and any other shop on the Street at this time. If they carry on closing it will end up looking like Rawtenstall in Lancs. The post office and crack converters were the only shops left in the mall. MJ
personally I find blueberry pancakes are best for xmas brekkie, as once you've made the batch they can be fried to order (use a buttermilk waffle batter) and go well a sparkling white. themarley
This wasn't meant as an advert as such, its just for the last 5 years at Crimbo I've been working Taxi's that day and there was never anywhere for sad single b2324ds like me to get summat to eat. I am cooking my crimbo lunch here so I thought why not be open and feed lost souls like myself.

shetlandpeat
It was my reference to Rawtenstall, though it was exactly like that. The town had been seriously let down over the years and had two HUGE supermarket shops built within a mile of each other, both oozing with car parks. Each one could probably hold Lerwick Tesco 3 times over.No offence was intended, sorry Paul. This is why "them folk you don't want us to mention" should always back the local retailers. i.e you. paulb
Who offended the town ? but dont spoil the post by mentioning the Council ta! prats couldn't organise an orgy in a brothelThe above council is Rossendale borough council. The comment was tongue in cheek as the town is a dump at the moment. If you think shetland island council is a mess try rossendale. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:RawtenstallTownCentre.jpgthis town had a decent ballroom shuta ski centre shut5 swimming pools 3 shut one still to shut.a college shut made way for out of town shopping never finished.a heratage centre and countryside out of town shopping still empty.museum has been threatened with closier for over 10 years. the local hospital closed to be knocked down and replace with housing.police station closedreally we should be very grateful that we live in shetland and that we have such a well funded council. believe me we would not be having debates on new lesiure venues. Its quite important to relise that loads of areas are really getting hammered.

themarley
Jeez it looks like Lerwick but wiv real Xmas lighting, terrible how towns suffer, some due to large Stores moving in but situation not helped by landlords charging way too high rents, I am very happy to say my landlord does not fit into this category he's a good guy (a6selicker me). A lot of these landlords are some of our lovely Councillors.
