paulb
the above road was a nice tarmac road absolutly nothing wrong with it. they then spent millions relaying and replacing the cobbles. what they forgot was that cobbles are not very nice to walk on especially if they are sliperry. they discovered that the old tram lines were still down and had to spend a fortune on a full survey. After completion the water board came along and dug it up to replace the main. they also put up some really nice raillings up. sadly cars could not see through them and they had to be pulled down very quickly. those lights are from a dew years ago. lancashire county council banned light going across the street. paulb
so somtimes its best to hope that somethings don't change. stupid councils are not limited to shetland. oh yes they used to have one of the biggest biker gatherings in the uk untill they started wanting to control it. the even had it banned as the oganisers could not say how many people were coming. paulb
it was a shame the town was taken over with thousands of bikers and they really were very friendly never any trouble and they raised thousands for chariety.
