cdboy2002
After 18 months living in Shetland, thought I'd better get one. Searching on Google and the council's website hasn't enabled me to find details about the scheme. Any ideas???
Delts
I guess you're talking about the parking discs? If so, you get one free of charge from most of the retailers on the street. I know Harry's and the fish mongers next to there have them as I've gotten from them before.
MuckleJoannie
Since there is currently no traffic warden I wouldn't worry too much about it.
Guest CyprusPluto
I picked one up from the Tourist office about 12 months ago
JustMe
New traffic warden starting soon and meanwhile the police can still issue parking tickets so get a parking disc or park somewhere you do not need one.

Egbert-Mcwhirter
The police are too busy running around with thier seats right back , one hand on the wheel ! to even think about issuing a parking ticket.
tarotangel
Off Topic but hopefully they'll start enforcing the Disabled Parking bays. Confronted a van driver about it a couple of months ago who replied to me "I'll only be a couple of minutes" then walked off. The fact I was in a wheelchair didna seem to bother him. Then found him parked in another Disabled Space about 15 mins later. What was worse that the police drove past and did nothing.
MuckleJoannie
I'm sometimes tempted to phone fims whose vans flout traffic laws. It's hardly a good advert for the business to allow it.
shetlandpeat
Just take a picture, put it on a blog and send the link to the company that owns the vehicle. Someone just has to do it.

Stevo
The sooner the better. Get him on the street by the weekend It depends on how often he is doon the toon! If he goes for a wander on a tuesday afternoon opposed to a saturday afternoon then he is going to be no use.
