The switching off of some street lights was approved some time ago but I have yet to be aware of it ever happening.

There was a piece in the Times about it about 3 weeks or so ago, following a Council meeting, apparently its supposed to go live "next year", whenever exactly that is - calendar, financial, or just some arbitary date etc....

Very much more could be said about it, none of it complimentary of the SIC, but don't have time at the mo - I may return with a "sermon" on it later though, I feel the need for a rant. ;)

Just a few questions :ponders:

.....Helicopter Landing Site ?

What did it cost new and who paid for it?

"The £85,000 landing site...."

"....site was paid for jointly by the Scottish government, NHS Shetland, the Scottish Ambulance Service and Shetland Islands Council."

"Wednesday, 26 May 2010"
