Up 5 pence in the week before the 5p fuel rebate.

You couldna make it up .

All the postering from Tavish and Carmichael won't make a difference, in the end if you want mainland fuel prices with the benefits of supermarket schemes,

Tesco 10p off when you spend £60 in the shop , and now Morrisons 15p off, you have to live on mainland UK

Its an absolute disgrace the way people in the Islands are been treated with this fuel rip off .. Is it any wonder people go and start riots when you have to put up with the likes of this day light robbery..The sooner there's petrol pump outside tescos the better if thet ever happened the rip off merchants would soon take there prices down..

Support the Fair Fuel campaign and e-mail the price at your filling station

URGENT CHALLENGE PLEASE. The media has asked us to find the most expensive filling station in the country. Can you send me the price per litre for diesel and petrol of your filling station plus location and postcode if possible with brand of fuel too. Send your response to howard@fairfueluk.com

Its very interesting GB fuels states they make 2.6p per litre on their wholesale sales , this watered down amount of profit might be quite a tidy sum . Being the biggest retailer of fuel in Shetland also i dont think its time to take a collection up for them yet.

Now is the time for Tesco to get their act together and fight for the right to have fuel pums on Shetland, they could then offer the discount given south and fetch their own fuel thus kicking the arrs of the GB fuels barons!

yep lets get tesco in then all the independent retailers will go tits up and then you will expensive tesco fuel and all profits heading out the sooth mooth what a brilliant idea just how did we ever survive before genius like that moved to the isles

I f Tesco start selling fuel with their 10p discount so be it.

Stuff everybody else.

Haha what a positive comment that is........and so short sighted. Do you actually drive or just catch the bus by the way?

As Dratsy says things will definently go tits up after Tesco get their pumps!

^ Tesco don't sell cheap petrol, they are able to reduce the price of petrol due to the extra pennies they put onto their in store products.

There is a basket of groceries currently on display in Aith community Co-op.

Tesco £11.06 (plus petrol cost) Aith Co-op £10.05 for the same products.

My maths aint brilliant but, spend £60 in Tesco and get 10p off a litre, so say you get 40 litres that's a saving of £4, get your groceries at your local shop and save £6 on your shopping plus the cost of the petrol to get you to Tesco and back.

Tesco think we are all mugs.
