wullie m.
The wummin suspect received a "Do not go to jail card" at the finale. She was "haltingly" given the English form of caution, ie, that silence in answering questions at a police interview might have adverse implications for the suspect at any trial. She should have been given the Scottish warning by the police that she had the right not to answer any questions, in effect, to remain silent. Very important at the forthcoming trial, she hadn't been properly cautioned. You think they might just have asked a polis. "Get me Beltrami & crack open the Champers"! Ghostrider
Okay, so it wisna quite as dire as I feared it might be, at least they tried, so marks for effort, and were generic fodder for the square-eyed masses my poison, it would have been, as the man said, ower-weel. But, please, X Files theme style music while they were driving around in the middle of the second part.....WTF.

EM
An insight from Jane Moncrieff on the making of Shetland I think she's summed up all the angles perfectly. Best report on the pilot I've seen, by far.
MuckleJoannie
Filming for the Shetland series has started. It would appear that they are doing most of the filming in Shetland this time. http://www.shetnews.co.uk/news/7049-perez-is-back
fairislefaerie
Filming for the Shetland series has started. It would appear that they are doing most of the filming in Shetland this time. http://www.shetnews.co.uk/news/7049-perez-is-back They've just finished filming here on Fair Isle, thankfully I chose the best two week slot in the year to go riding in the cairngorms & missed all the hassle, dangerous driving, etc yadda & so on. Seem to be two sides on the wall here, those who welcome the chance to increase the islands projection, and those who cringe at the island being linked with such awful novels. CrunchieSquirrel
I hope they are not going to start filming in London or somewhere in England. Maybe Somerset (hahaha!)
CrunchieSquirrel
I wonder what the plot is now...I'm going to say that they walk to the Thule, grab a pint and just talk. I was rather surprised when I heard last year that the reviews said "acting was poor".

Davie P
Whit did you think o yun? I fair enjoyed it, more so that the first series. Perhaps it's because I was more familiar with the characters and I'd gotten over the fact that everybody didn't talk in broad Shetlie accents! It's up on iPlayer now if you missed it - http://www.bbc.co.uk/i/p01sf9kq/
