The transit of venus was noted for the first time by Horrocks from a church five miles from where I live in wee village called Much Hoole, there is an event there. http://sunearthday.nasa.gov/webcasts/muchhoole/ The best stream so far seems to come from Norway http://sunearthday.nasa.gov/webcasts/norway/ It has become quite popular, best of luck.
