sparkyharky
Some Acer laptops use the Fn + F7 to switch off the Touchpad, others have a small button to the left of the On/Off button. If that don't help, tell us the model of your laptop and which version of Windows you are using.

anderslea21
Found out its the keyboard of my laptop. Its working fine with the on screen keyboard. anybody know how to replace a keyboard or someone who could?
Hector's House
I was thinking it sounded like a duff keyboard - spillage perhaps? Google your particular model and you should be able to find a site that details how to change things like memory, hard drive, keyboard & screen etc. Very often it's a quite simple & safe operation as long as you don't take shortcuts! Saved a fortune for a friend with an overheating laptop, finding a wad of dust in the fan intake. At the least you should find a photo & text procedure, if you're lucky even a youtube clip. Happy hunting!
