hairyian
Broadband been up and down all summer, since last night speed from Plusnet has been download less than 260 kbps, upload less than 60 kbps. When will Ofcom come to our rescue??? Not a function of OFCOM, so probably never ? OFCOM will ensure that anyone that does come to your rescue complies with the regulations. DizzyKipper
not as good as normal, esp as graph went up as you got nearer the end, but I wouldn't have noticed had I not done the test for this post. Had it faster this afternoon. http://www.speedtest.net/result/2154272252.png Retest http://www.speedtest.net/result/2154278899.png
enkelt skapninger
My internet speed is precisely zero. Ever since the storm on Wednesday evening we've had no phone or boradband, and probably won't have any until the end of the week. I've seen the BT engineer furtling about in manholes and coming out of the Bixter exchange looking very harassed, so I'm not complaining. It sounds like there was a lot of damage done. Switching your BTHH on and off frequently is not a good idea. But off at the end of the day and on again the next day when your ready is no problem and saves a small amount of electricity. RugyDavy
Installed the BT hub last Tuesday. Phone, telly and broadband all going well. Came in from work at teatime yesterday to find the broadband down. Still the same this morning. Being new to BT, can someone enlighten me on where the Lerwick exchange is, are all in lerwick on the same exchange and has anyone else lost broadband last yesterday? Customer Services were flummoxed by my quandary and blamed the exchange. Felt like a fob off.

There is almost certainly no widespread general fault at the exchange. However, your particular line might have a problem. Does the HH connect to the exchnage ? There will be a DSL LED indicator somehwere on it.
