CHUCK NORR1S
There's a whole lot of businesses that bend over backwards to provide excellent service and many are a real pleasure to visit. Geordie's DIY, LBC, Robertson and Peterson, Robinson and Morrison, Planticrub, George Robertson, Camera Centre, the Vets ... Absolutely!!!
Speccy
Scoop - always pleasant service, nicely presented shop, huge range of spices and dry goods with minimal packaging.
Sculder
What a breath of fresh air it is to see some positive feedback for a change on shetlink. Here here.
Biglad
Great thread, lets see how long we can keep it for. I agree with most of the comments above also. far too much negativity surrounding local shops when actually quite a lot of them do very well considering. If we don't use them we'll lose them! Guest posiedon
The current staff in the hydro shop are a BIG improvement from two or three years ago.
owdwife
My American friend, here on holiday has nothing but praise for Lerwick shops both for service and choice! Its made me think twice about my attitude. Good to see positive comments for a change.
daveh
I always find the staff in Tesco very friendly and accommodating. If I want to know where anything is on the shelves, I ask anyone (not on the till) working there and they always walk me to the appropriate section. JustMe
I always find the staff in Tesco very friendly and accommodating. If I want to know where anything is on the shelves, I ask anyone (not on the till)working there and they always walk me to the appropriate section.Almost too good. I find asking someone who is obviously busy about where I can find something and they take me rather that just telling me a bit embarrassing. But know where most things are anyway........until head office decides to move things again.

I think it is Tesco policy for staff to walk you to where things are. They have done it here for the past 20 years. So don't be embarrassed - it's their job to be helpful . CHUCK NORR1S
................Its made me think twice about my attitude. Good to see positive comments for a change. both of these comment. More people need to check/reflect on THEIR attitudes I feel, It's all to easy to come on here with the usual "what a terrible attitude the staff in that shop have" etc etc etc..........Just because you get told something you don't want to hear doesn't mean you are getting attitude
Biglad
Bought a new TV from Geordie Robertsons yesterday, had it delivered and installed today, couldn't be happier with all aspects of the sale, delivery and set up! CHEERS

Shetland_boys
On the topic of service, can anyone tell me how long it usually takes for an item to be delivered to tescos when ordering through tescos direct? It does give me a delivery date but if it arrives sooner then that would be great

ariel
The lovely boys at ITS (next to what was Smith and Harpers) eased my considerable frustration and prevented me committing violence, by giving my laptop a good seeing to. £60 well spent, highly recommended if you are suffering a chuggy computer.
