Wheelsup
Hi,Aircraft only make money when they are flying, sitting on the ground is a dead loss, therefore when it can be sign of an efficient operation when there are no planes lying around. stilldellin
Its great seeing the airport so busy, iam a regular flyer through sumburgh twice per month min, and its often very quiet, but great when your photos show just what does land in shetland.does anyone know why they closed the bit upstairs in airport which had all the old photos etc? also does anyone have the web address where lots of old photos of sumburgh? Sumburgh is a complete disaster as far as seeing aircraft from the building, once you are inside that's it, useless.I too would be interested if there are specific web addresses for aircraft at Sumburgh but other than these it seems you really need to scratch around :- Bristow :- http://www.pprune.org/rotorheads/389322-bristow-sumburgh-end-era-6.html Museum :- http://photos.shetland-museum.org.uk/index.php?a=wordsearch&s=gallery&w=aircraft+sumburgh&go=Go Airport-data.com http://www.airport-data.com/world-airports/EGPB-LSI/aircraft-photos:1.html

wabbit
^ Love the props on the C130 Cheers - 1/100 shutter speed works on the Hercs, 1/80 seems to work the Saab 340s - tricky to get the rest of the plane sharp though

unlinkedstudent
...does anyone know why they closed the bit upstairs in airport which had all the old photos etc? I think it ain't in brilliant nick upstairs. I was also told there was no lift and therefore not DDA compliant hence being shut off.
