Twerto
The only thing that has stopped the piling to date, is the weather.
Ghostrider
^ Really? They must be storing the steel and piledriver a long way away, nothing like that has been seen near the Ness in many a year that I'm aware of. Seems strange that they've spent so long making all these "X Blocks" and dumping them in as armouring, when they could have done the piling last summer and backfilled it pretty quickly afterwards. But no doubt some engineer(s) someplace know much better about such things that me.
Ian_H
Dusna need tae be steel - could be concrete. Cast-in-place concrete piles aften used in difficult situations. X Blocks will be needed tae break up da waves tae reduce da amount o water dat comes in ower da tap.
