lastpubrunner
Hi there, I've been investing my family tree and I've found that one of my ancestors was known as 'Lowry of Langa'. I've been told that the name 'Lowry' is a title, but surely, it is an abbreviation for a christian name - Laurence ? Presumably, he lived on Langa; if so, can anyone tell me when it was last inhabited ? I'd be very pleased to hear from anyone that might be able to provide me with information. lastpubrunner
Actually, it has just occurred to me that I don't know if it should be spelt Lowry or Lowrie; I just know that he was known as Lowrie/Lowry of Langa.
