JAStewart
moderators, i thought advertising wasnt allowed? Why not? It's a local group promoting their promotion, let them promote it to the hilt! Good luck lads
RickB
moderators, i thought advertising wasnt allowed?Personaly I agree with Corporate. You either allow advertising or you dont. Usualy if a shetlink member was to advertise they would be reminded to put adverts in the classifieds section.Or better still, put the advert in the events calender. 4533
Correct me if I'm wrong, but nearly every post in the music section is advertising a gig or event of sorts, and has been for quite some time. It's a great place for letting people know what's on. We're just a bunch of guys who love music and want something different to do once in a while, and see some good bands from south up in Shetland. If other people are into what we are doing, then it's a bonus, but we have to let them know. Yes, we are advertising, but not to turn a profit. We are just advertising a good time. This might be hard for you to understand, but it's the honest truth.
JAStewart
Having been a gig promoter over the years I can agree with 4533 about the lack of profit involved!
jambo6
Thanks to everyone who performs & promotes and please keep using this forum to do it. Trying to make the place poorer for everyone who finds this really useful is pretty shan.
