JustMe
Good that there will be a new AHS. Bad that so far there has been little said about potential uses of the old AHS site. Also bad that so far there has been nothing said about a replacement for the Clickimin camp site. Must be replaced but hopefully the recreational trust can do that. grift
20 years to do a U turn is progress? Of sorts, I suppose
MuckleJoannie
After the last minute carry on with the previous new AHS I'll believe when I see builders on site.
paulb
and to think it took them 20 years to think to ask for help with the build costs and once they do it drops from 50 mil to us having to pay 12. i wonder what else they have messed up on. MuckleJoannie
Hopefully accepting finance from the Scottish government for the new high school will mean the days of the SIC trying to do everything themselves and making an muckle sphincter of it are going to end. gafynandrew
The clickimin campsite?.....Sod the frikkin' campsite! Get more houses built. There are plenty of fields and valleys to go camping in around Shetland.
stilldellin
^ A good camp site in Fetlar, severely underused, but may be some difficulty in getting there...
Stevo
Just been looking at the plans for this. The only question that sticks in my mind is how will it work being so close to the helipad. Does it effect this? Ive seen a few times the helicopters coming in right over the top of the camp site, im not sure how it will work with a 3 story building in the way.
