Hollian
http://www.shetland.gov.uk/news-advice/Festiveopeningtimes.asp Not all SIC services shut down. Some staff are working as normal. Depends on the service.
Medziotojas
Hi folks, just a quick reminder that the rubbish collection is two days behind due to the mid-week break. I see a few bags out in the Vidlin area today. This collection will now be on Sunday.
Ghostrider
Aren't Christmas lights still up a month after the fact a bit overkill, and doing somebody's carbon footprint no favours? Bah Humbug! Or, is this a new addition to the porn for pyros?
MuckleJoannie
I was wondering if they're keeping them up for Up Helly Aa, or maybe the SIC doesn't have enough budget to take them down until the new financial year starts on 1st April. CHUCK NORR1S
I was wondering if they're keeping them up for Up Helly Aa, or maybe the SIC doesn't have enough budget to take them down until the new financial year starts on 1st April. I thought the council had nothimg to do with the lights, is it not Living Shetland? I'd imagine they're left for UHA, nice touch for all the tourists i think.
