Sky adverts are ok.....at least you know what they are advertising. Those "you have won an hourly prize" ones that I was getting earlier are a bit sinister....there is a con in them somewhere. Njugle
Normal service (or new improved!) will be resumed presently. It's just a transitionary phase, something to do with geeks, code and tweaking.
mutopian
so who the {'f' it was funny in Father Ted 'eck'} would want to buy a sky package anyway? I'd rather a crystal clear picture rather than the snow infested analogue signal I used to have to endure.
Twerto
by free view then I know you get 1 billion channels to flick though at your leasure.. but I have never owned sky.. just experienced it round at freinds and the old folks.. but so far 90% of them have all changed to free view as they all said that they always end up just watching the BBC channels itv, channel four and none of the rest anyway. but i do agree with the turdty tv reception, but for all the tv i actually watch i can live with it. mutopian
Freeview is a non-event - not everyone stays in an area that can get it remember
breeksy
We pay for sky - would love to have a freeview box, but no chance of that here! We will cancel sky (and stick to their free channels) once the kids have grown out of cartoon network and nickelodean.
JustMe
Freeview is a non-event - not everyone stays in an area that can get it remember Not quite true.......freeview can also be installed via a sat dish. Expensive to start with but no ongoing costs with the basic package.......which now includes film 4. (edited for spelling)

Njugle
Nope, for about £150 you get a freeview satellite box. As it says on the adverts.

I dont even watch much TV, what do you think, should I give in and just get it?
Twerto
ahh that where they get you though.. get you to sign up for 6 months whith such comments as " Free sky sports" and then make it so much hassle to unsubscribe that you never end up doing.. slowly dragging you into the quagmire that is turd TV as i sated before ive never watched much sky.. but from what i ahve seen the BBC still appears to produce the best TV. yeah you might get to see a series such as Lost a year before anyone else who doesnt ahve sky.. but at the end of the day is that such a huge deal? if it is sucha huge deall. just go onto bit torrent and download everythign before it even hits the tv screen (get out clause No. 214 not that i condone illegal downlaoding of any sort )
