Neon Lights 0
I was wondering if anyone knew where to find figures for Total Revenue vs Total Expenditure for the Shetland Islands Council for say the last 15 years? Is this available? I would love to see graphically how the two relate, and at what point the SIC started to spend above its revenue.Being able to see something like the graph below would be really useful:http://extranea.files.wordpress.com/2011/02/uk-debt-continues-to-grow1.gif

MuckleJoannie 235
You could wade through the SIC's annual abstract of accounts. The more recent ones are available online. http://www.shetland.gov.uk/news-advice/documents/ShetlandIslandsCouncilDraftAccounts11-12.pdf http://www.shetland.gov.uk/about_finances/documents/SICStatementofAccounts201011.pdf http://www.shetland.gov.uk/about_finances/documents/AbstractofAccounts2009-10.pdf http://www.shetland.gov.uk/about_finances/documents/AbstractofAccounts2008-09.pdf http://www.shetland.gov.uk/about_finances/documents/AbstractofAccounts2007-08.pdf http://www.shetland.gov.uk/about_finances/documents/AbstractofAccounts2006-07.pdf http://www.shetland.gov.uk/about_finances/documents/AbstractofAccounts2005-06.pdf http://www.shetland.gov.uk/about_finances/documents/AbstractofAccountandPerfManagementReport0405.pdf http://www.shetland.gov.uk/about_finances/documents/AbstractofAccounts2003-04.pdf
