klanky
Well, are there any harmonica enthusiasts around? I'm just starting out myself. Any groups, meets, informal sessions or online waffle?
xs250custom
Hi klankyYears ago when I took up the harmonica, that's what you call it when you can play a full tune on it, so I will call it the moothie, I found it really hard to find other moothie players to show me tunes to play so what I did was I bought a few, well about ten of them, in all different keys and just played by ear. Neil young albums are usually good for tunes in C or A.And old blues harp CD,s are good too. Find them on eBay. Good luck.
MuckleJoannie
There were a couple of local bands that featured moothie players, the Red Vans and Matt Vinyl and the Decorators, neither of whom seem to be active now. http://www.dalephotos.com/tall-ships-105341-a4-final http://www.thebigpockets.com/news/25/final-vinyls
tirvaluk
Terry Leith played with Matt Vinyl, they still play occasionally. Rorie Gilles played with The Red Vans, they dont play now. Tommy Sinclair that worked in the parks plays a few tunes.
