HN38
likely means that the person deleted the message on shetlink before you have read it but you will still get the email. Happened to me before

I open nothing that comes from Shetlink etc that come via email. Didn't know that Shetlink sent emails. Thought they used the personal message system. shetlandpeat
You can turn email alerts off in your profile. There is also a check box under any message you write or edits that will send an alert just for that topic or leave it for all
unlinkedstudent
Sometimes there can be a delay with your ISP/e-mail provider resulting in your e-mails being delayed ... you get an e-mail from Shetlink only upon logging in and checking to see, there's no new pm there ... yeah, that's cos you've already read the pm to which the notification refers. Weird answer ^^^^ I have no idea what you are talking about there. If someone sends you a PM and you have email notifications turned on, you get an email sent instantly, if the PM is deleted you still have the email, the PM will however not be there.
