I just watched the film "Amelie", starring the most captivating Audrey Tautou, on Ch4 tonight and feel it is possibly the most charming film i've ever seen. So charming in fact that it never occurred to me that it bears the description of being a romantic comedy. Had i known that beforehand i probably wouldn't have considered watching it.

What wonderful actress and what a fantastic film. My heart is truly warmed. 9/10

That is my favourite film ever ever ever, so much so that [delete]

But still, I can watch that film over and over again because there is always something new in it you haven't seen before (when you've pretty much memorised the subtitles you can actually watch the small details in the film).

I'm glad you enjoyed :)

I saw Pan's Labrynth yesterday too. It's brilliant. Without a doubt the best film I've seen in the past couple of years. Not a film for the squeamish though. Some parts in it are unbelievably brutal.

Another film I saw recently was The Number 23. Whit a load o sharn! The worst film I've seen in the past couple of years!

I wis goin tae see 300 danight, but I'll see how dat ties in we this Fortunate Sons gig.

Anybody seen Metropolis (the version that's nearest the original)? It's really odd. Worth a watch if you've not seen it before. Probably best to get a DVD with commentary to expain what the hell is going on with the story line for the first viewing. Also, it fills you in on all the bits of the film that have been lost forever.

I eventually got Edge of the World on DVD, da wan wi aa da extra's. Absolutely brilliant, but no in an oscar winnin sense obviously!

A long time since i enjoyed da entire contents o a DVD so much.

Apert fae 300 (mentioned elsewhere) my fave film recently is Hannibal Rising.

Extremely rare fur a "prequel" tae actually do whit wan should, which is mak you want tae watch da original films wi a different viewpoint. (dats whit i expect onywaye..)
