sludgegulper
Is anyone else getting bombarded with advertising links on here? Am getting hacked off with it.
Hector's House
I use Adblock on IE (free "simple" version only does 200 blocks a day, not enough if you're a Shetlink super-user ) and Firefox has its own free adblocking plugin, can't remember its name. Ghostrider
^ Ad Blocker, but its effectiveness is on a downward spiral, the developer stopped maintaining it last December. It still seems pretty much 100% on older releases of FF, but the versions released after maintenance stopped can have an occasional unblocked ad of some site pages and has a bad habit of blocking the actual ad but leaving a chunk of blank background where it was supposed to be, rather than allowing the remainder of the page to spread in to the vacated space as before. [Edit]You use IE.....Good God! That's like walking in lead boots..... [/Edit]
trout
Is anyone else getting bombarded with advertising links on here? Am getting hacked off with it. What kind of advertising "links" do you mean? Are you just meaning the adverts that appear at the side and at the top? Remember - Shetlink is entirely supported through advertising being displayed / donations made by thoughtful users
