Zimmer/walking Frames And Flybe

Has anyone had any experience of taking a zimmer frame on Flybe?

 

I would be in a wheelchair but my zimmer frame is a useful piece of kit as I can't master crutches (non weight bearing with spinal injury too).

 

Any thoughts appreciated.

Are you flying Loganair from/to Sumburgh. If so, you can check it in for no charge, or have it 'valet tagged' so you can take it to the aircraft steps or on the ambulift with you. Once you're onboard the zimmer will go in the baggage hold. Once you reach your destination the zimmer will be brought to the steps or ambulift for you..

Thanks.  I was also wondering whether they would carry it while they wheeled me to my taxi or do I, because I have brought my own wheelchair, have to do the wheeling?

Best to phone Loganair at Wick 0844 8002855 and tell them you will have your own chair, zimmer etc and will need assistance - they can add it to your booking.
