cuckoo
I was wondering if anyone has this method of managing attendance used in their workplace. And have you recieved written warnings or worse still been dismissed due to having a high score .
randomvoe
An employer I used to work for back home did use it and I was asked to support some colleagues at their 'capability' hearings but I've never had it used against me personally. randomvoe
One meeting was a guy on long term sick who was dismissed but it had more to do with his ability to gain 100% discounts on company stock The other was a repeated short term (usually Mondays) sick which resulted in verbal warning if I remember rightly. It was sometime ago and I'm being vague to protect colleagues and because I can only really remember bits of what went on.
paulb
the nhs here runs a type of bradford scheme. however its not an automatic dismissal used more as a warning alert when things are going wrong.
Scorrie
It can be useful as it is geared more towards those who pull 'sickies' and regularly disappear for a day as opposed to targetting those with long term health problems. ie: if someone had a week off, it would score less than someone who had five random individual days off in a short-ish period of time. If you look online, you can download basic BF stuff and explanations of how it works.
