^ That would be fine, if it indeed was a simple clash of personalities. However when that leads to one poster seeding in words designed to take a pop or dig at a specific individual within otherwise innocent looking passages, or including nonsenscial one liners for the same purpose referencing either private details they happen to know about a specific poster, or pulling up an obtuse comment from years ago from unrelated to the thread subject. With no other reason than either attempt to wind up said poster, or attempt to use it as a means of discrediting their POV by "attacking the arguer, not the argument", its a whole other ball game, and arguably, especially where the private information is concerned, on very dodgy ground with the T&C's.

 

I appreciate its very difficult for anyone, but most especially Mods to fully appreciate just how irritating such a constant and sustained passive aggressive attack is and address it accordingly, but that doesn't negate the irritation and exasperation it causes the target, and causes them to finally blow. I gotta hand it to anyone who uses it, its a very calculated and sneaky method of attack, like water continually dripping on a stone, it goes virtually un-noticed by anyone else, until the stone finally wears away.

 

Some of us may be "lucky" enough to be thick enough skinned we can return to sender with knobs on whatever they hand out, indefinitely, but everyone has their own way of dealing.
