Independent Scotland in the EU?

Recommended Posts

With the Shetland Islands independant, and privatised, as is suggested, how would you be able to control your assets, after all, you will be handing much of the running to capitalists. The only way capitalism will prevent the plunder in Shetland waters would be to sell it off.

Thank you for your consideration into my health though, however, incorrect they may be, it is apreciated.

I doubt Shetland will go it alone, there would be little interest especially as there will be no automatic right to they mystical sea boundaries.

Happily as well, Scotland, what ever happens will still have a social role to play in improving the health and the wealth of the nation. The EU membership will be required, or at least following EU rules to get on.

Oh, dear. Clearly, as we already know, you are no capitalist. You have much to learn about capitalism if you think sale is the only option. Meanwhile, who said anything about privatised?

Ahh, he doesn't remember a thing about it. That must have been one good session then.

Really? May I recommend you peruse the history section of your local library.

Nicola Sturgeon: Scotland belongs in Europe no matter what

http://www.heraldscotland.com/politics/scottish-politics/a-tory-party-in-thrall-to-ukip-a-pm-heading-for-disaster-but-scotland-bel.127560856

1. The SNP wants "independence".

2. The SNP wants to leave a political union with the UK.

3. The SNP want to continue with a political union with the EU?

1. The EU is a political organisation that has significant control over the UK currently - correct?

2. Scotland would have even less voting numbers than the UK currently does - remember Cameron trying to block Juncker - correct?

3. How does wanting "independence" equate to wanting to cede power to a remote and unrepresentative political union in Brussels?

The SNP / E.U. Stooges know that full independence whilst beneficial to the people would not be good for the wealth or opportunities of the political elite.

The Scottish government's declaration that it might be forced to leave the Union if the UK vote to leave the EU, could be turned on its head.

IMO its highly likely that there will be a UK majority in favour of staying in the EU.

However Scotland alone, might well vote to come out, rather than have to join alone and therefore have the Euro thrust on it.

Would the SNP then have to try and honour the peoples wishes.

This guy is great !

He certainly is, this time around. Although Jacob Rees-Mogg is a Tory, which is a terrible thing to say about anyone, he puts forward a very good case for us to dump the E.U before they grab any more control over us. We need out of the E.U and we need out now as they are grinding us down into the gutter.
