SBSS
Today is World Suicide Prevention Day. This awareness day is observed on 10 September every year, in order to provide worldwide commitment and action to prevent suicides, with various activities around the world.Shetland Bereavement Service Tackles Suicide. Studies show that the best outcomes for those bereaved, and particularly those bereaved through traumatic events such as suicide, come from appropriate support in the aftermath of the event. Those who have experienced the suicide of a close friend or family member are 9 times more at risk of going on to complete suicide themselves.SBSS recently delivered 'More Questions than Answers' Training aimed at anyone supporting people who have been bereaved by suicide. A big well done to those who successfully completed the course and received their certificate. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Suicide_Prevention_Day
