Kavi Ugl
It's Friday and as I flicked through The Shetland Times I saw an election advert for Danus Skene the SNP candidate for Shetland. The "problem" with the photo is they used Scalloway castle as the backdrop!. The Scottish National Party candidate for Shetland using Scalloway castle for a promotional photo. That'll be Scalloway castle which was built using forced labour and is a mark of the oppression meted out to Shetlanders by the Scottish heirarchy. That'll be an own goal then. LOL!. paulb
true. but i suspect it you were to choose a picture shoot site based on its history you would be very limited.

Maybe we could start fundraising to roof over Muness castle and turn it into a private sushi-bar club, or a fine-wine-tasting centre? Could have done the photo shoot outside the Salvation Army food bank, promising it will be shutting soon for lack of use after the Election? Ghostrider
The Scottish hierarchy sit in the House of Lords nowadays. Which leaves it up to their lesser talented and lesser intelligent minions to lord it over the rest of us from Edinburgh.
Colin
Careful now.. I wouldn't generalise by suggesting that, collectively, they are "talented" or "intelligent". Maybe one or two are but, the rest.....??

JustMe
My thoughts are already turning to the next election and wondering if any of the candidates who do not get elected this time will have a shot at becoming an MSP next time.
Scorrie
The Scottish hierarchy sit in the House of Lords nowadays. Yet another reason to vote SNP. They'll not be getting my vote this time. I voted SNP into power in Holyrood and voted 'yes' in the referendum, but I'm jiggered if I'm voting for a candidate for the SNP who is cynically using his Lib past to try and sway voters in these here islands.Plus I wouldn't urinate on those members of the SNP Shetland group on Facebook who really showed their true colours the day after the referendum. What a bunch of nasty, spiteful and arrogant clowns. Acid
Ghostrider
I voted SNP into power in Holyrood.... So, all the crap incoming from Edinburgh these last few years is your fault then. Glad we've finally found out who's to blame. Edited May 2, 2015 by Ghostrider

Popular Post JustMe
Side issue (OK off topic) but I was amused by this in the Monster Raving Loony Party's manifesto ""We now have a solar farm on the Isle of Sheppey, but it is only productive during daylight hours. To complement this we should have a sustainable lunar farm to collect moonbeams at night for conversion into green cheese which could be sold at local farm shops."". But they also want to build windfarms underground to end the visual impact. Guess it would at that.
