As for the ridiculous comment " hope that all lib dem voters are feeling good in themselves" you really need to get a life and stop looking for everyone to blame. In general, I've always thought that people who constantly look down on others and judge others are usually just trying to detract people from their own skeletons.

Looking down? Judging others? Making these comments while unable to correctly comment what I have recently stated speaks for itself. Personally, I either get my quotes right first time or I keep my mouth shut, but it is, of course, up to you.

Correctly comment, you reckon eh?

"To date, Carbuncle is (almost) a self-admitted liar."

And that's your idea of correctly commenting, is it?  How's that work then, "almost" a liar?  Surely someone is or isn't?

At the point of writing, Carmichael had admitted some of what had happened, but not all. Therefore the word, "almost" was used.

Or had you missed that?

He clearly means correctly quote there, rather than claiming absolute truth of his own words, and he hasn't called him "almost a liar". Take more time to read properly.

Do take notice of punctuation.

You left it open to interpretation, the punctuation doesn't rule out what I took from it. Regardless, "almost a self-admitted liar" quite clearly doesn't mean an "almost liar". It's quite clear what was meant: Carmichael saying he was "less than fully truthfully" is lawyer speak for he lied, making it an almost-admission of that. Simple?

ahh I left out the "the" hardly makes any difference to the quote.

You seem happy to pass remarks about lib dem voters, but greet a lot when someone questions what you say. Mind you I was surprised it took you so long to provide us with your insight of the current position.

Wooooo, the headline grabbers getting their sixpence worth again. They obviously think we are incapable of reading the news ourselves. Reminds me of the local gossip who gets so much satisfaction out of other people's problems.

What I can't stand is that this is nothing other than a witch hunt. As I've said before, the guy got it wrong but show me a politician that hasn't, it's the hidden agenda that's driving this one.

Who are the headline grabbers and what is their sixpence worth? What is an internet forum if not a medium for discussing current affairs and matters of interest (to the person posting)?

It is not a "witch hunt". We have already been through the part of the hearing in which those with judicial authority to do so made clear there was a legitimate case to be heard. That you don't like it is an irrelevance.

EDIT: (Your closing sentence gets a good laugh given the condescending tone of the rest of your post. "Get a life" he says, shortly followed by "people who look down on others are trying to detract". No irony intended it seems...)

Your entitled to your opinion, as I am mine. Of course none of your post have ever been condescending, have they?

I've no doubt they have, but I'm not the sort of hypocrite to complain about that while simultaneously doing it.

What skeletons were you trying to detract from in your initial post?

Like myself, your entitled to your opinion, of course that doesn't mean everyone will agree, as for skeletons, mines well and truly rattled out of the cupboard long ago,

That one wasn't really a matter of opinion, so there's not much for people to agree on about it. People can hold whatever opinions they like but if they're based on incorrect understanding of facts or if they don't tally consistently with other opinions that person holds, then they're understandably going to be questioned and/or criticised.

(I don't pick up on it to belittle or anything like that, simply because you've done it twice now and I'm not sure if you realise: it's "you're entitled to...")

Obviously your just looking for an argument, and basically your correction of people's grammar says more about you than it does me.

I have more to do than quibble, so give it your best as I have no intention in further replying to you. I'm sure you won't be happy unless you have the last word, so fill your boots.
