colonel
Can anyone recommend the best fuel to burn on a small multi fuel stove? Also, where can you buy solid fuel in bulk? Any advice appreciated

Chalklate
Hi NewbieWe buy 'wood briquettes' from Jewsons. They cost about £3.70 for a pack of 6. They will easily take a bulk order and would probably deliver, depending on where you live....I guess. We find they are very economic as they give out an excellent heat and last for ages. paulb
transport cost to fetlar would cost a fair bit. maybe better to see if you can find a local peat bank for next year. consider a ton of coal it works out a little cheaper. Scorrie
Make sure the stove is a genuine multi-fuel and not a woodburner, otherwise there's a chance that burning coal in it will warp the whole thing. We've a Bosca woodburner we bought from what is now Jewsons, burns peats really well.
