Ghostrider
Just a heads up for anybody that was affected by Tesco cancelling their home deliveries on Tues afternoon & evening this week. You might want to check the activity on the card you left details of with them for payment, and ensure you've not been charged for the cancelled order, or if you have been charged for it you've actually received a refund for that amount. It seems that their "system" hasn't manged to process these things quite as well as it might have in every case.
George.
It's a pity that they're selective regarding who and where they provide the seven days a week delivery service they talk about. Alright if you live in town or down the south end but if you're up north or in the west of the island then it's three days a week, take it or leave it - and if you're on a wee island then.... Urabug
Would think the weather might have something do with the system. Some off these country houses may not have there access roads gritted !
Ghostrider
^ The problem with the "system" I was referring to is that whenever Tesco cancels an order delivery, for whatever reason, they have been known to still go ahead and charge that customer's card the full amount of the cancelled order regrdless, and then take three days to refund it back again. So if a customer so affected decides to book a replacement order for another day's delivery slot, or shop elsewhere, in the belief that because Tesco never attempted to fulfill their original order their money shouldn't have been touched, they're going to find out different when they check their balance. Worst case scenario, someone on a tight budget is likely to find themselves with no order = no food, and no money for up to 3-4 days to purchase any, as they've paid for something they never received, and having done so they have no funds remaining. Urabug
Well Ghostrider that is just not on,they should reimburse immediately if they cannot fulfil the order.. Try leaving the shop without paying and see what happens. It works both ways in my book.
BigMouth
The service that I have had from them has been great. On the one occasion that they cancelled the delivery they gave me a £10 eVoucher
