Toft pier ???? All sic piers. Let's strip back here all shellfish boats pay dues which entitle them to use any sic pier in Shetland approx 370£ a year. Buckie is 72£ per year. levies are payments for services provided In Buckie Ullapool etc sheds power refrigeration for catch and men there to help Orkney will not charge the fishermen levies as they do not want to provide above services which matches sic

The bigger picture is total are in talks with sic with regardes toft they have interests I under stand in the location so here we are sic shuts pier fisher men slandered for an alternative motive

Provide the service we will pay don't lie and take it away

Why would Total be interested in Toft pier? 

 

They already have access to a far better facility via SIC at SVT's construction jetty, which (IIRC) they plan to use later this year to bring some very large kit onshore.

Goes from bad to worse!

More than 80% of the money spent on consultants says it all SIC , did the first survey not tell them anything (like maybe the Pier required some maintenance work) or possibly the halfwits of councillors and corporate mangers couldn't read the report properly, maybe what's need is someone in the council with a slightly higher IQ than a Turkey!

when the sic abandoned the pier and stopped maintaining it, they expected folk to stop using it when it was no long fit for purpose. didn't work, that kind of logic only makes sense behind closed sic office doors.
