Hi,

my next trip to Shetland will be for Up Helly Aa 2009 in Lerwick. I know that there will be a torch-light procession, the burning of a longship and after this dancing in the halls.

What is there more to do, especialy during the daytime of Tuesday 17th and the day after ?

I think that the Shetland Museum in Lerwick is planning to be open on Wednesday 28th. It's well worth a visit and they have a nice café where you can get coffee or a meal.

Errrm. I hope for your sake that is a typo. Otherwise, lets hope your travel tickets are flexible.
