Last night Radio Shetland re-broadcast an interesting programme made by Charlie Simpson in 1989 on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the first UHA galley. In addition to lots of interviews with early builders the programme is noteworthy for having a version of the Up Helly Aa Song as originally sung to the tune of John Brown's Body. There are also fuller versions of the other songs with the generally unsung verses.

In theory, they should finish at the same hall, but because the Jarl Squad gets priority in halls they should finish first and Frankie's squad should only have them once early on during the night.
