Brilliant, couldn't get the Webcam this morning, then lost Shetlink, so it's nice to see something. Got the Webcam now when there's little to see.

Three times I've tried to post, is anyone else having problems with IE tonight, it's driven me mad today...ok, rant over.

 

Good photo's and the first posted here tonight, nice dry night for a change, shame about your battery Arabia, hope you had a good time I too have been watching on the Webcam folks milling about, would have been nice to see a bit more though for the folks that couldn't get there, the inside of the Tourist Information Centre was really riviting.

As a long-time expat I've been digging about for photos all day. I took my daughter up last year (she was 11 at the time) and we've been re-living it all day.

 

I was so pleased that everthing about Up Helly Aa was exactly the same as I remember from when I was little and to share that with my daughter was fantastic.

 

I'm very proud to be a Shetlander and am constantly taking every opportunity to make sure my daughter knows what the heritage means. Up Helly Aa is certainly part of it!

Three times I've tried to post, is anyone else having problems with IE tonight, it's driven me mad today...ok, rant over.

 

Shetlink has been awkward and sticky to load for me off and on all day since about lunchtime. Usually closing out of the window you had open and opening it in a new one cleared it....for a time. Its not given any bother the last couple of hours though, maybe someone was round with a screwdriver and spanner after they'd had their tea.

I often come to the Sound School to do some hostessing (only part-time) and I keep running up and down the room checking if any tables need to be cleaned and tidied up.

But the best thing is dancing, one time I danced so much that my trousers almost fell down.
