Anyone know who won the best shop window UHA display? - I missed it in the Times although I was told it was probably the disturbingly lifelike dolls in the Shetland Art Company window.

It was six and two three's for me, i felt Murray did a slightly better speech and since he didn't get on last year i gave him my vote, unfortunately it didn't go his way. I hope he goes up again next year and gets in, obviously very keen and seems a genuine kinda guy.

Interesting to see so many light sabres alongside the usual paraffin technique. Also quite surprising to see the extra flares used during the burning. Can't have too many flares in my opinion

Actually those are Lerwick torches using Lerwick technology. Not sure about the specific mix chosen.

What a great day - Da Doonie Day in Thurso. The Shetlanders were great and we had a day and night to remember. Lots of pics accessible through the Thurso Rotary Website - www.thursorotary.org.uk Just follow the links on Da Doonie Day Finale Page.
