BigMouth
If we REALLY HAVE TO bury people we should be burying them upright in a tube, with a stopper screwed in at each end, to take up less space. You could auger a hole in the ground in no time, drop the tube in. As we as a race are getting taller we just need to dig deeper holes. As far as somewhere to put the bodes, how about somewhere no-one wants to live, like Sandness. Frances144

Hohenzolleren
On first reading this looks like a good suggestion. There was after all a caravan park at the Knab before the present housing was put up. The dog in the manger at the moment is the government department who has occasional use of this former multi court for PSV and HGV driving tests. Question of prioritisation I suppose? ll
The last caravan site made a decent turnover, but as it was operated by Public body, could not do so profitably and no spin off to leisure centre was taken into account. There are quite a few private/community run sites that can do so profitably, so based on previous track record this should not be tried again. Fair enough to sell or lease land, but not a good idea to compete against existing facilities with public money. Pretty unfair already the amount of public funded eateries that are competing with private enterprises. Anyone coming to Shetland on holiday is missing the whole point of coming to Shetland if they camp in da toon. Clickimin and SRT should look at the Waas Pool and Scalloway gym for ideas and inspiration as these are entirely self sufficient and don't need to be subsided to the tune of £4m per annum. Urabug
What about the South West corner of the Gilbertson Park. Could that not be adapted, and this would be a very good central area which as far as I can see is not being used . Da Burra Shop
