ng7627
Looking for some advice. We have main tv in the sitting room with Sky. There was an older tv in the bedroom where we could watch whatever was on the main tv in the bedroom as well. The older one packed up and we bought a new one but now can't get anything at all on the new one in the bedroom. The set up is that there is a normal standard ariel cable which goes into the back of the new tv, runs up the wall and in to the loft. It then comes back into the living room and in to the back of the main tv. Just wondering if it is something wrong with this cable. It is saying on the new tv that there is no signal. Any advice appreciated. Thanks.
tirvaluk
Is the input on the new tv set for the coax cable? May be set for another input.
Pooks
At a guess I would say that the new TV has only attempted to tune the digital channels and not the analogue. The Sky signal will almost certainly be using an analogue frequency. Go into the Setup/TV Tuning and choose Analogue.
ng7627
Thanks for the replies. I was fiddling about with a lot of settings and I think I did try tuning in to the analogue frequency first but I'll have a go again and let you know. ng7627
Tirvaluk - I see an input for coax. The ariel cable doesn't fit that. It is plugged into one that says ant.
ng7627
Pooks - success. I found the analogue had been switched off in the set up/installation category switched it on and it found the channel. Thank you.
