WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO NOW????

THERE WON'T BE ANY EURO FISHING BOATS IN ST MAGNUS BAY!!!!

WE NEED TO GET WESTMINSTER TO INFLICT THE E.U OR THE COMMON MARKET, EVEN THE E.E.C UPON US - WHETHER WE WANT IT OR NOT. AFTER ALL, WE NEED TO GET SOMEBODY IN TO STRIP THE WATERS BARE.

THERE'S FAR TOO MUCH FISH AT SEA.

Ted Heath must have done SOMETHING useful, but that's what Westminster likes to think that democracy is REALLY like. They just don't like us to talk about it.

I forget where I read it today, but there's something like 5 million quids worth of Scottish exports *per day* getting held up. That's a lot of livelihoods to have little sympathy for at this precise moment in time. Or at any time for that matter.

Still, the price of taking back control looks to be coming down to frittering away the fishing rights. Those same rights folk were told to vote leave and get back. Who would ever have thought that may not happen eh!

...cultivated export markets to folks who want to buy - like the Russians, that those same bunch of continentals banned us selling any to.

The Russian trade embargo was in retaliation to international economic and political sanctions that were introduced because they invaded Ukraine and annexed Crimea. Edited by Capeesh

A large chunk of our seafood is rotting in the back of trucks in Kent.

Lets dissect this for a moment.

If this is brexit related how is this not the fault of the companies that were meant to ship it?

it has been several years since the vote, they have been given ample time to prepare and told when "brexit" would happen.

(assuming they don't postpone it yet again)

The Russian trade embargo was in retaliation to international economic and political sanctions that were introduced because they invaded Ukraine and annexed Crimea.

And the Faroese cashed in by selling to Russia because of a loophole.

technically annexation was due to a civil war and an opportunistic move by Russian Crimea was a "gift" to one of Ukraine's previous "leader" from Stalin it consequently had a lot of ethnic Russians living there so Russians not from Russia played their part.

Is Shetland Scottish/British or Norwegian?

Some Pan-Scandinavian or Norwegian ultranationalists claim Norway, Iceland most of the islands between are populated by "Norwegians/Scandinavians" who only speak different languages, and never stopped being Norwegian/Scandinavians.

with obvious exception of minorities like the polish in Iceland for example childless guest workers especially

Is Crimea Russian/Crimean Russian or Ukrainian?

well the events happened more recently so we can debate it more objectively

Cypress tried to get Greece to annex it and Malta tried to join UK these failed but had it happened would these be viewed as Greek or British "aggression"?

The shippers have had four years to mitigate the f*ck up we all knew it would end up in when it came down to the wire. If anybody believed the UK would still have a market in the EU for anything after it was all done, nobody else can be held responsible for them wearing rose tinteds but themselves.

If Boris ends up giving away any fishing right of any kind, he and his Tory party are toast permanently

It was a great big eff word when it was inflicted upon us and it will be another great big eff word when we get all the way out, but that's Westminster for you.

The point being the EU didn't ban us from selling fish to Russia, the Russians banned us from selling fish to Russia and the reason the Russians banned us from selling fish to Russia is because the Russians weren't happy with International sanctions and NATO countries flexing their muscles in response to the Russians invading and annexing part of another country.

Even if the UK wasn't an EU member at the time there's not even a miniscule chance the Russians would've left us out of their trade sanctions.

It looks like it's time to point out that the lorries backing up was due to Covid and not Brexit; ergo the shippers really can't be blamed for France slamming the doors shut and suppliers can't be blamed for trading within the areas most *cough* accessible. And yet people try; I'm sure you will continue to do so regardless.

Thanks for that. I'm sure the vast majority of voters who don't give a flying one about fishing will prove you right. Those same voters don't appear to care about any of the other major stunts pulled by the Tories: pandemic "mismanagement", billions going to their chums for dodgy contracts, the "oven ready" deal that never was etc.

It's the EU's fault, it's covid to blame, it's the companies fault, the truck drivers are to blame...When will the Brexiteers take responsibility for the mess they've got us into?

France shutting the boarder over covid is definitely the fault of Brexit even though the UK hasn't even left yet!

Reports show that 25 per cent of apples, 20 per cent of onions and 13 per cent of potatoes grown in the UK are still wasted on cosmetic grounds. Miriam C Dobson and Jill L Edmondson report.

DAMN YOU BREXIT, this is the worst thing you have done since you put Woolworths out of business in on January 2009!

I remember back when i lived In the old country we lost both of our Woolworths stores over Brexit one became a Home bargains soon after and the other a poundland years later, It just isnt the same damn you Brexit!

Whats worse is Brexit caused mortgage backed securities to become worthless due to extremely lax rules on who could get a mortgage and market manipulation causing banks to make mortgages much harder to get for anyone who became an adult after 2007 but anyone who was that old before could easily get one if they still had their house and bought it at the right time.

hell they could buy to let and use usury to monetize people who can afford to pay double the mortgage fee but for some reason cant get their own BECAUSE OF BREXIT!

Mortgages in Japan have been something people can inherit back in the 1980s this was offered as japan was poorer but getting richer Britain has been doing the opposite and has been for several decades, Brexit just pulled back the curtain and made this more apparent.

Japan Rags to riches

Britain riches to rags

Prospect Theory may explain the willingness of many voters to take a path that he sees as the more risky of two (change vs status quo). In his words Prospect Theory 'Tells us that people who feel they've lost want to gamble to break even. This is why they back longshots on the last race of the day or why they hold onto badly performing stocks. People who had lost out from globalization, or felt discomforted by immigration, voted Leave because they felt they had little to lose from doing so.

- Chris Dillow

Or to translate that more of Britain is poor, has nothing to lose and will vote Brexit to spite those who are pleased with the Status Quo mostly in rich remain areas, Rich compared to most leave areas at least!

Remainers are in denial about how poor the UK has become and why Usury and rent seeking is to blame.

oh no it must be austerity and brexit cant possibly be overpopulation, low pay and high housing costs due to greed turning Britain into a cesspool *clutches rosaries*

Go watch a payday loan advert when they charge 1209% for quick quid when you are broke

look at this pre-recession loan ad where they charge under 7%

Lombard direct in the olden days:

Go get a loan from us for that holiday or new car, we are cheaper than the bank sometimes

loans for home improvement why not just have fun your job is secure and you can pay it fine.

Payday loan

Boiler is broke, Car wont start payday is not until Monday think quick

think Quick quid You're financially dead, you're financially dead, you're financially dead

You're financially dead and outta this world

You'll never get a second chance

Plan all your moves in advance

Stay financially dead, stay financially dead, stay financially dead

Stay financially dead and outta this world

10 years between those and one was a year before brexit these adverts show how Britain changed for those who dont have old money

why do you think less people get married and have kids toady?
